This textbook is very useful for preparation of first year MBBS Physiology University Examination. It is following the latest CBME guidelines. Clinical questions and AETCOM questions will be very useful for all the students. No need to buy any separate textbook for AETCOM. It is very student friendly with simple diagrams and flowcharts. 'Give difference' questions are very helpful. Language used is simple & will be useful for faculties also. It is far better than the other books with "Question Answer" format in Physiology. Lot of hard work is there to compile a textbook like this. Student burden of referring many textbooks is reduced by this.

Very unique.
Will help students learn how to format the answer
Unlike other books which give answers as one-liners to cater to the needs of below average students, this has very pertinent questions and answers for a good student as well.

The authors have outdone themselves in this crisp yet informative book, as a student in mbbs who is very new to the subject I was surprised to see a book that gives me exactly what I need to know and not everything that is to know , which was a concept very calling to me and I think will be to other students as well. I was very confused in a lot of concepts simply because other books don't provide us the concepts in a concise manner with high yielding questions and needed flowcharts, but this one does.
I absolutely recommend it to anyone who is as confused as I was before and takes interest in the subject but is too afraid to read the heavy books!

I just read the first chapter of this book. I find it the most useful study material for seriously studying medical undergraduates of India. It is concise, yet beautifully explaining the most difficult terms in physiology in really simple words. I recommend this book to all the medical students in India and to all those studying MBBS outside India. In my honest opinion, this book appears to be designed in such a way that it is going to benefit the teaching faculties too. Best wishes to Dr. Sharat Gupta Sir

Review about Sample Chapter on Genral Physiology.
First of all Congratulations on coming out with a new type of Book/Textbook for Physiology in India in Question and Answer Format which will be handy for Students as well as Faculty.
Its a very good attempt at the new format after assessing the need through a survey.
There is always scope for improvement but coming close to perfection is an achievement by itself after the hurdles in the background.
First thing I liked was the soothing colour used.
Second what impressed me was the HYT & PY to start the chapter.
Third the hand made diagrams trying to explain concept in innovative style showing the authority over the topic.
Fourth is that almost covered most of the things related to the topic at UG level and maybe PG level also.
Fifth readiness to accept the small proof reading errors which have creeped in and agreeing to rectify them in the reprint.
With Best Wishes
Hoping for an improvised reprint in future.

Congratulations for the release of GEM OF PHYSIOLOGY..
The book Thieme Test Prep Series Physiology is an exceptional textbook that offers a thorough, accessible, and insightful exploration of human physiology. What stands out most is how the author skilfully breaks down complex physiological concepts into digestible sections, making even the most difficult topics seems to be easier and understanding.
Each chapter begins with competency chart, ensuring that students can focus on key concepts. Question Answer format to explain the competencies is the unique feature and most welcoming approach from the learners. Applied aspects given at the end of topic, bridges the gap between theory and practice, allowing readers to appreciate how physiological principles apply to real-world medical situations.
The language is clear and concise, and the illustrations and tables are well-designed, complementing the text with visual clarity that enhances understanding. Hand drawn conceptual diagrams, flowcharts, mnemonics to memorize are particularly helpful.
The clinical cases which can be assessed by QR codes is a new innovation in this digital world and promotes e learning and learning at ease.
For quick revision, the book includes “At a Glance” at the end of each chapter, reinforcing learning key concepts.
Overall, the respected and beloved authors (Sharat sir and Shallu ma’am) has crafted a master book rather magic in physiology which will definitely prove a milestone in solidifying the understanding of human physiology. Congratulations and best wishes..
