Yes. All submissions intended for textbooks, clinical reference books, and continued medical education books will undergo a rigorous blind peer-review process to maintain high academic and clinical standards. This also ensures to have constructive feedback for the work, which is shared with the authors and helps in quality enhancement of each work we add to our publishing list.

Yes. We offer competitive royalties or compensation based on sales and usage. All terms will be clearly outlined in your publishing agreement.

We generally prefer original content. However, previously published work may be considered if you own the copyright and have an NOC from the original publisher. This is applicable to the complete work. We will do fresh agreements compliant with Thieme policies. However, for a chapter or article publication that has been originally published by some other publisher or journal, we will not accept the work as is. It must be modified to suit the publication strategy in which the article or chapter is intended to be published in Thieme's work. Also, due permission from the reuse of relevant information for the modified publication would be required from the original publisher or journal. Usage of content in text, tables, or figures from other sources is only acceptable if you have permission from the original publisher or the copyright is owned by you.

We accept submissions on a rolling basis throughout the year. However, if you feel that the submission of a proposal and manuscript is vital for a particular purpose, you may highlight that in the proposal. Different categories of products have different timelines. This can be discussed with the publishing team once your proposal is accepted.
