AETCOM Competencies for Indian Medical Graduates is based on the AETCOM module as defined and refined by the National Medical Commission (NMC) in 2024. This is the first-of-its-kind guide cum logbook for both teachers and students, aimed at enhancing students’ critical thinking abilities. This logbook will help maintain a record of activities and provide adequate feedback to the students about their understanding of the subject. Reshu Gupta, PhD (Medical Physiology), is Professor of Physiology at RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Jaipur, with over 15 years of experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She has played a leading role in curriculum design and medical education reforms, serving as the Coordinator of the Medical Education Unit, as the Nodal Officer of BLS Training Centre and the state-of-art Skill Lab at RUHSCMS, and as a member of key academic and ethics committees. She is actively involved in organizing faculty development workshops, continued medical education, and conferences. A prolific author and peer reviewer, she has contributed extensively to physiology education. This book reflects her practical experience and passion for integrating the AETCOM principles into mainstream medical training.
