About the Author :
Bratati Banerjee, MBBS, DPH, DNB (SPM), MNAMS, PGDH&HM, WHO Fellowship in Non-Communicable Diseases, is a fellow of the Indian Public Health Association and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine. Serving the Government of India as Director Professor of Community Medicine, formerly at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and currently at All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata, she has 30 years of experience in community medicine and public health. She has authored/edited six textbooks, a digital e-book for postgraduate students of community medicine, and contributed 30 chapters in textbooks and training modules. She has written two health education books for children and three chapters for school-level health educa- tion books. With over a hundred publications in national and international journals, she has led several funded research projects as Principal Investigator.
