He has been organizing annual advanced spine courses in Izmir since 1997 (21 courses) and Istanbul Spine Masters Course since 2015 (6 courses). He is the author/coauthor of 205 scientific articles (127 international and 78 national) and editor of 10 books.
Onur Yaman, MD, is the Professor of Neurosurgery at Arel University, Istanbul, Türkiye. He is the Chief of the Spine Section of Neurosurgery Department at Memorial Hospital Group Spine Center Istanbul, Türkiye. His primary interest is spinal deformity surgery. He is the author/coauthor of 97 scientific articles (71 international and 26 national) and editor of 2 books and 30 book chapters. He is the current President of the Middle East Spine Society.
Max Aebi, Dr.med. et Dr.h.c, is Senior Consultant at Wirbelsäulenmedizin AG, Salem Spital, Bern, Switzerland and Professor Emeritus at McGill University, Montreal, Canada and University of Bern, Switzerland. He is a Member of the European Academy of Sciences. He was the Founder and Chief of the Spine Service, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University Hospital, Bern, Switzerland (1983–1991); Professor and Chair of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at McGill University; and Orthopaedic Surgeon-in-Chief at McGill University Health Center in Montreal, Canada (1991–2002). He was also the Founder, Professor, and Co-Director of the MEM Orthopaedic Research Center, University of Bern (2003–2011. He is the author of more than 350 scientific papers and book chapters. He was also the Past President of COA-ORS, Eurospine (2005); Co-Founder and Chair of AOSpine; and Founder and Past Editor-in-Chief of European Spine Journal.
