Chilean Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (RCHOT), the official scientific journal of the Chilean Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, publishes papers that contribute to the field of orthopaedics and traumatology as well as to the training of physicians interested in the specialty. The journal features original clinical research, articles on basic sciences, clinical experience reviews, cases with difficult diagnoses, notes on the specialty's history, and letters to the society's director.

All submissions must conform to the regulations established in the instructions for authors. Submissions undergo a review process by two experts on the editorial committee designated by the journal's Director. For major editorial decisions, expert arbitration is conducted by an external editorial board.
